This is the first part of my Symphony No. 1 in five movements,

This movement is in sort of a Middle Eastern Expressionist style.

I consider this part of my "Raga" period.

 

This is the third movement of my Symphony No. 1 in five movements,
which includes the three-movement-stand-alone work "Sinfonia No. 1. It was written in 1997 when I was teaching at the Waldorf School in Elk Grove California, just after the Bankruptcy of the Sacramento Symphony. I consider this part of my "Raga" period.
